About Us
Port Seton Centre Management Committee is a registered SCIO charity - SCO41476. It is run by a group of volunteers who either reside, volunteer or work within the Port Seton and Cockenzie area.
We operate from Port Seton Community Centre which serves the local community of Port Seton Centre Management Committee have the lease of a variety of the rooms within the centre which they hire out. They also are responsible for the soft play area and the community gym known as the Power Station Gym.
Also within the community centre are East Lothian Council owned facilities such as a cafe, multi-purpose sports hall, 3G football pitch, a basketball court, a library and also a Resource Centre.
The purpose of Port Seton Centre Management Committee is to support the provision of educational and recreational facilities and the Committee of educational and recreation programmes with the object of improving the conditions of life for the people of Cockenzie and Port Seton
To promote active citizenship and community development through volunteering and participation in the Centre's programme with the object of reducing inequality, social isolation and improve community infrastructure and resilience.
